Grant is a professor of organizational psychology at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a contributing writer at The New York Times on work and psychology. His New York Times Best Seller Originals: How Non-Conformists Rule the World had been published in February 2017, and at SXSW, Grant presented stories of the book's subjects who had taken uncommon paths to success.
